When the Extended Audit Trail add-on is activated, both Admins and Managers will be able to download an Audit Trail export. After triggering an Audit Trail export, an email will be sent out to the user when it is ready for download in the "Export History" tab.
If the export is large, the exports will be put in queue with the status "In Progress" while it is being extracted. Admins and Managers will be able to download the export from the "Export History" tab once the extraction is completed. Extracted Audit Trail exports are available for 30 days in the "Export History" tab, whereafter they will automatically be deleted.
Admins are able to trigger the Audit Trail export in the "Control Panel" tab, and they are able to export filtered results. Exports can be saved in either PDF or CSV formats, which can be selected when triggering the export. Audit Trail exports in CSV format contain all available fields of the audit trail (Incident, ID, Date & Time, Action Type Code, Action Context, IP Address, Location, User Agent). Audit Trail exports in PDF format contain limited data (Incident, Date & Time, Action, User, IP, Location).
When the Extended Audit Trail add-on is activated, a new "Export History" tab is automatically added to the Organization Settings.
In the "Export History" tab, Admins and Managers will be able to:
- See the history of previously extracted Audit Trail exports.
- See the status of Audit Trail exports ("In Progress" - Grey Spinning Circle, "Completed" - Blue Checkmark, "Failed" - Red Cross).
- Download the extracted Audit Trail export.
