Set up SSO via SAML for Zoom

Before you can configure SAML, you need to set up a "Vanity URL" in Zoom.
Visit https://zoom.us/account and apply for your Vanity URL. This step takes some time to be approved. Once approved by Zoom, you can use Vanity URL to set up the SAML app at Teamstack.

Step 1: Create Zoom app in Teamstack

  1. Go to your Applications.

  2. Click "Add Application" in the top right corner.

  3. Search for "Zoom" and click "Add".

  4. Select this app to be a "SAML" app and enter your "Zoom Subdomain". If your subdomain is "https://yourCompany.zoom.us", enter "yourCompany".

  5. On your applications overview, click on the newly created Zoom app. You will see all details about this app.

  6. Click on "SAML Configurations". Keep this page open, you will need these values once you configure the SAML settings in Zoom.

Step 2: Set up SAML in Zoom

  1. Log in to your Zoom account as a "Owner" or "Admin".

  2. Under "My Profile", click on "Advanced" and then on "Single Sign-on".

  3. Copy and paste the following information from Teamstack:
    - Sign-in page URL: paste the "Sign-in page URL" from step 1.6
    - Identity provider certificate: paste the certificate from step 1.6
    - Issuer (IDP Entity ID):
paste the "Issuer" URL from step 1.6
    - Binding: choose "http-redirect"

  4. Leave all settings untouched and click "Save Changes".

(Optionally) To automatically map the first and last name to a user that did not exist before, click on the tab "SAML Response Mapping".

Step 3: Test that the SAML setup is working

To test if the SAML connection is functioning properly, do the following steps:

  1. Assign the Zoom app to yourself in Teamstack.

  2. Open a new incognito browser window and enter https://{yourdomain}.zoom.com

  3. Click on "Sign in". You will be redirected to Teamstack.

  4. Enter your Teamstack credentials.

  5. You should be redirected and logged into Zoom.
